Wyoming Valley Pathology provides expert clinicopathologic evaluation with superior turnaround times. Our team reviews skin biopsies on a rotational basis. Dr. Salam Host reviews most of the skin biopsies either as the primary diagnostician or as the consulting pathologist.

With a cumulative high volume experience in dermatopathology, we are able to provide seamless external consultation services of more complex cases to the Cleveland Clinic Department of Pathology, Dermatopathology subdivision.

We use immunohistochemistry stains geared specifically for dermatopathology including melanoma markers S100, HMB45, MART1 and SOX10, and experienced in the evaluation of Melanoma excisions/resections with use of the full melanoma CAP protocol on a regular basis.
